Health/Vision/Dental Insurance

  • Health Insurance —
    Comprehensive medical coverage including preventive care, catastrophic coverage, prescription drugs and mental health/substance abuse care.
    Choice between a PPO plan and an HMO plan, depending on location.
  • Vision Insurance —
    Routine vision care coverage offered through an extensive provider network.
  • Dental Insurance —
    Comprehensive dental coverage, including orthodontia.
  • Retiree Insurance —
    Eligible retirees may continue coverage at group retiree rates.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

  • Medical FSA —
    Contribute up to $5,000 a year on a pre-tax basis for eligible health care expenses.
  • Dependent Care FSA —
    Contribute up to $5,000 a year if married and filing jointly or head of household, and $2,500 if married and filing separately.

Disability Coverage — fully paid by Navy Federal Credit Union

  • Short-Term Disability Plan —
    • Eligible after 6 months of employment. (First of the month following 6 months)
    • Salary continuation if you experience an eligible illness or injury for more than 14 consecutive days.
    • 75% of pay for days 15-44.
    • 60% of pay for days 45-90.
    • Opportunity to continue elected benefits.
  • Long-Term Disability Plan —
    • Eligible after 6 months of employment.
    • Salary continuation if you experience an eligible illness or injury for more than 90 consecutive days.
    • 60% of pay.
    • Opportunity to continue elected benefits

Employee Health Services

  • On-site health unit at Headquarters, Pensacola and Winchester locations. Nurses are available to provide medical care for employee illnesses and injuries, routine screenings, over-the-counter medications, Mother's Room and doctor referral assistance.
  • Registered nurses available to field employees by telephone, fax and e-mail
